By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Edutab is provided by EMKO Teknoloji. The Service may be offered to schools and educational organizations (“Schools”) who act as controllers of certain personal data relating to their students and staff. Depending on your relationship with us, EMKO Teknoloji may process personal data as a processor on behalf of a School or as a controller for account administration and product operations.

3. Information we collect

We may collect or process the following categories of information:

• Account and profile data: name, email address, role (e.g. teacher, student, administrator), school affiliation, and credentials used to sign in.
• Usage and device data: information about how the Service is used, including class sessions, device identifiers, app activity where enabled by the School, technical logs, and approximate location derived from network information when necessary for security or support.
• Content you or your School submits: lessons, files, messages, assignments, polls, quizzes, attendance records, and other materials uploaded or created in the Service.
• Support and communications: messages you send to us for support or feedback.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
• Authenticate users and protect accounts;
• Facilitate classroom and school workflows requested by authorized School users;
• Monitor reliability, debug issues, and prevent abuse or security incidents;
• Comply with law and enforce our agreements; and
• Communicate about the Service (for example, security notices or administrative updates).

5. Sharing of information

We may share information:

• With your School: so that administrators and authorized staff can manage accounts and educational activities.
• With service providers: who assist us with hosting, analytics, email delivery, or security, under contractual obligations to protect data.
• For legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Schools, or the public.
• In connection with a business transfer: such as a merger or acquisition, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal information.

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may be determined by your School’s policies and contractual arrangements with us.

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage Schools and users to use strong passwords and protect account credentials.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal data, or to object to processing or request portability. 10. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for use in educational contexts, often involving minors, under the direction and consent of Schools. Schools are responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consent. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child inappropriately, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
